Season 3 finale

This is the last episode for Vince, Coach fuller and Danny. I used to have this episode on vhs and watched it all the time and remembered it ended with Coach being recruited by Univ of South Florida and the team wins the championship and at the victory banquet coach ends the episode by saying "you know what they say, its good to go out a winner". But my friend bought the dvd episodes off someone online and the episode ends with coach saying lets do it all again next year im not done with you guys yet. How are there two different endings? Especially since we never see coach again and in the first episode of season 4 they have a letter from Vince saying hes at south florida with coach. Any one have an idea?

They changed it.

This happens a lot with movies and TV shows, when released to DVD. Scenes removed, added, altered.

But this show hasn't officially been released on dvd, you will only find tv recordings online for sale.

Well, I've seen episodes altered for syndication as well.

the original episode was Coach Fuller saying something like Im staying and lets do it again next year. However, when the episode reaired for the final time just before the next season was set to begin. Coach Fuller says It good to go out a winner. The following week the new coach was on. I think Coach Fuller took a job with TNT on NBA basketball
