Bought it and liked it

I was not sure about buying this show, but I have the complete original series and the two movies, so I bought this series. I dislike Andy Dick, but I liked his character here. Don Adams is still the real star of the show and 99 does about one scene an episode. The shows are pretty funny and they keep some of the old humor intact. I also bought the set to see Ziefried again. He was the best part of Get Smart. He and Max had great chemistry.

the first episode was really horribly cheesey, but after that, the other 6 episodes weren't too bad... cheesey, but not really horribly cheesey...

it was definitely a product of the mid-90s, though... the music, the clothes, the editing all REALLY dated this series!

it was amusing enough, i wish they'd been allowed to finish out that first season, but i don't see how they could have possibly hoped to hold it out near as long as the original series... there just didn't seem to be anywhere to really go with this series...

Andy Dick wasn't bad in this at all.

He must have gotten paid more in that show he left "Get Smart" for, but as Zach he held his own.

In 1995, watching the pilot, some of the humor was too crass, but the remaining episodes by and large had the right feel... and "Liver Let Die" really packs a strong punch as an episode.

Ditto for the Siegfried episode ("Wurst Enemies"?)... Adams and Kopell had great chemistry...

The show got canned before its time.
