tho the other guy did a semi decent job..

reply

Because the producer/s realised Ben had more talent then they could afford. Hence why they plonked in Neil Puke! (erm, Stuke). Wasn't he fab in 'The Truth about Cats and Dogs'?!!! (0:

reply

He didn't really make it big.'The Truth about Cats and Dogs' was a flop.

reply

Hey neil sturke was brilliant and I loved him. I didn't like the original Matthew but that may be cos I watched series 2 and 3 before series 1. I still preferred neil sturke though.

reply

Hollywood beckoned. But it doesn't matter, Stuke did the better performance anyway.

What utter tripe you talk.. Ben Chaplin owned the role of Matthew, Mathew WAS Game On. Stuke killed off the show, and the show went down hill once Chaplin left.

reply

Horray somebody that thinks like me. I preferred neil too, he was brilliant and I always think of him as Matthew, not Ben chapman.

Ben Chaplin made the show, it became hard to watch after he was replaced, him as Matthew could never be topped, they should have cancelled the series instead of replacing him with the inadequate Stuke.

reply

Ben Chaplin played the best Matthew; he was excellent. The actor who replaced him was a turd on a string.
