actually, yes... petitions sometimes does work... it worked in denmark where one of the filmcompanies wouldn't release an old danish cartoon that was highly popular in the 80's - well, people started a petition and when the company saw that there was a market for the film they marketed 2 editions, a special limited edition and the regular with no real extras... - so, i just signed the earthworm jim petition...

yes, i am indeed an agent of satan, but my duties are mostly ceremonial.
they work sometimes for silly commercial things (family guy, f'rinstance), where the company just wants to see if something has enough fans that it will sell. for any real causes, they are basically ignored because they're so easily faked

This cartoon (and the Animaniacs) really does means a lot to me, as it is from a time in my childhood when I was actually happy.
^ According to Ralph Bakshi, the only reason "Wizards" got released on DVD was because of a 'net petition.

I have the DVD, bought it of Ebay years back, quality isn't too good, but I went through a nostalgics phase for Earthworm Jim too and signed the petition a few times.
You can watch the episodes on Youtube however, I know that. ;D
