Whatever happened to Paula Hunt??

Anyone know?? Thought she was good as Alex but never seen her in anything since. Did she give up acting or something?

reply

I don't know. I would also be interested in finding out about her as she's the least known cast member. Have you ever tried writing to her? She must have done other things...

Yeah, I'll have to have a 'hunt' for her agent's address and do that. I thought she was a real breath of fresh air in series three, can't believe she hasn't been in any TV since. Apparently she was in some kind of bingo advert, but I've never seen it.

reply

Yeah, I've seen the bingo ad. It featured her standing up and looking sort of 'whoopppee, I've won!', but she didn't say anything. If that is anything to go by, I'd say she's not had much in the way of acting work since Bugs...

I certainly remember seeing her in some sort of advert, a few years ago. I couldn't remember what it was for, but I think it was something else.

There's only Bugs and Peak Practice listed for her on this site. I'd thought she might have been in a Dalziel and Pascoe, but no - I think it was just someone who looked vaguely like her.

It's a shame she hasn't done more, I really liked her. I'll have to keep googling and see if anything turns up, maybe she's done lots of stage work instead of TV??

reply

Yes, I thought she was one of the best things about Season Three, particularly the way she was introduced. "No, I'm the teacher" was very amusing, though not for poor Beckett!
I felt she shone in Season Four too, where she was given more to do and even her own arc. (Always good to have arcs!) The character became more of an equal to Ros and Beckett, being the only other 'field agent' actor to cross seasons. I suspect if Craig McLachlan had stayed on there would have been a much better dynamic between Ed and Alex, making for better episodes in general.
Anyone found out about Paula? She must have been in more TV...
