Can you believe it? On the first of April our favourite series turned 12. Can you remember watching the first episode? Personally I didn't see the original TV broadcast, but instead saw the video in 2001 - quite a long wait!
Did anyone do anything special to commemorate the event? We watched an episode, and talked about it. I bet someone out there made a cake or did something wacky...

Not me - I for one didn't even remember the transmission date. I haven't looked at my Bugs DVDs in a while. They're on my "to view" list. So many other things to do . . .
shareI know I used to watch it when I was a kid, I remember the show and my love of all things Ed quite well (which is why I got the DVDs then started looking for fanfic and came on here to discuss it!!!), but I don't remember watching the first episode. I don't know which one I started with actually!! I watched them in order when I got the dvds.

You have no right to feel old! If you were 10 in 1995, you're 2-3yrs younger than I am, and I don't feel old! Well, I do in some areas, as I have a bit of a split personality; part of me is a naive innocent 5-year-old, part of me is an angst-ridden 15-year-old, and part of me is a world-weary 50-year-old. Which at my ripe young age of 24, averages out approximately! :-)

It does seem a bit crazy that so much time has passed since the series began, but I started with Season Two so I can get away with feeling a bit younger... even if I'm not. What will you be doing in ten years? Get into TV and then you can commission a new 'BUGS'. You could call it 'The New Bugs', 'BUGS2' or maybe 'Bureau2'. Or 'Gizmo's Team Return Even Though They're Older Now'. Something like that anyway.

I like 'The New Bugs'. Didn't they do that with that show called The Avengers, just stuck a 'New' in the title and voila - whole new but related spin-off?
I like the idea of 'Gizmos' as a title too. Connected to Bugs but not the same as. Does anyone know if 'BUGS' was always the title of the show, or if they had something else as a working title? I'd love to know what it was if they had one.

Well, I've ALMOST doubled my age since it started. This time next year . . . (I had to resist the urge to say "we'll be millionnaires" - wrong show!)
How about 'Bureaucracy' for a title? No?
