I can vouch for this show's 'anti-depressant' properties!

Hi there!

It's been a while since I posted on this board, I know - but this is worth mentioning. The other week I was coming down with a depression attack, the kind where all my enthusiasm just evaporates and I don't feel like doing anything. Well, this one began, and I wondered, "shall I do this? No . . . shall I do that? No . . . shall I watch my DVDs of Bugs?" Yes!" - and I put that first episode on, and it totally revived my enthusiasm. So I watched the next one, and have been watching two episodes a day for the last couple of weeks now. I haven't seen this show in about five years, I've missed it!

I know exactly what you mean about not being motivated to do anything, and 'BUGS', among a few other programmes really has the ability to cheer you up. I've heard this before from others. I think, without analysing it too much, it's the feelgood factor of people you like tackling problems with skill and good humour, having some fun and good winning out over villainy. It works and it works very well indeed.

Your description probably explains the continuing popularity of the Bond films too - I've been watching some of them on ITV of late, and definitely prefer Roger Moore in the role. "Live And Let Die" and "For Your Eyes Only" are probably his best, although "Moonraker" is SOOOO cliched (it's the epitomy of the villain with the master plan to exterminate/enslave the entire world's population).
