I am so STOKED that this is finally out on DVD! It has been years since I saw it, probably in its original airing on PBS here in the US. It's always been a favorite of mine, and now I get to relive it. Although somehow I had managed to block out the fact that Mira Sorvino is in it. Ah well that's what the fast forward is for.

This is fantastic news, best I've heard all week besides the Clark Gable box set release. Thank you Warner Brothers!

About time too. Its a shame tho that all those millions of british tv licence payers whos hard earned cash pays for great shows like this to be produced have to buy a multi region player and a u.s.region 1 copy because the bbc wont release it here

You are so right!

I've been waiting so long for this to come out on DVD, and finally Amazon comes up with a release date! I contacted the Beeb and was astounded when they said that they had no plans to release it themselves. They even said that I should write (not email) their relevant department, etc, etc. What a load of crap!

Lucky for me that I have a multi-region player, but I shall have to save up my dollars and cents for my copy.

Shame on you, BBC. I'm so glad that I'm now an ex-pat and don't contribute my hard-earned to your coffers.
