It went downhill in Season 6 after Kenan and Kel left

After Kenan and Kel left the show, it wasn't the same anymore. Josh was the only original cast member left. I thought Kenan and Kel had some of the best characters and it was a shame we didn't get to see them for All That's last season in the "golden era." Miss Pidlin, Repairman, Principal Pimple, Coach Kreeton, Good Burger, Mavis and Clavis, Super Dude, Everyday French, etc. Those were all great sketches.

it was going down in season 5. Kenan & Josh Held it together

because Kel was missing throughout most of it because he was filming mystery men in canada

But season 6 SUCKED

the only thing good was Josh. Oh god! I'm horny thinking about him

I know! Season 6 was horrible, worse than any season before and after. That's the truth.

Seasons 7 & 8 were much worse than 6. Seasons 9 & 10 got better, though.

Kenan and Kel's departure hurt because they were for all intents and purposes, the faces of All That. It's kind of like with You Can't Do That on Television, which started to suffer when Christine McGlade (who like Kenan and Kel with All That, was the face of YCDTOT) left. You can argue that things were already on the downswing when Lori Beth Denberg (if Kenan and Kel were the heart and souls of All That then Lori Beth was the "glue") left and Christy Knowings and Amanda Bynes were the only girls left.

Much in the same way as American Idol went downhill after Simon and Paula left.

Kenan,Kel,Josh and Lori Beth were the backbone of All That when Lori Beth left it was cushioned because the other 3 remained but when Kenan and Kel left they couldn't recover because it was only Josh that was a mainstay during season 6 because Amanda was busy with her own show. Josh was surrounded by mediocre people like nick cannon, Leon frierson, and mark Saul who unfortunately was the beginning of the annoying kid run in all that. Even though Lori Beth's departure was cushioned it was still obvious, vital information wasn't the same even though Danny was funny, and her numerous characters and versatility were difficult to replace.with all due respect to the other females of all that Lori Beth was leaps and bounds ahead of them she was funnier than all of them, Amanda was good but paled in comparison. Now Kenan and Kel were easily the most irreplaceable guys losing one of them would've hurt them a lot but they lost BOTH the same year that was the end of All That and it was for a short time after season 6. But once it was relaunched the same problem was there how could they replace their backbone Lori Beth,Kenan, and now Josh they couldn't do it. The end was when Kenan and Kel left they were too valuable it was a fatal blow to All That.

It started to go down when they got rid of Angelique bates

I mean I liked Amanda Bynes and all but I was sad to see Angelique go.

They should have kept her. I mean they couldn't keep her and Also hire Amanda?

reply

Why did Angelique go? Once Kenan & Kel left that was it of me watching the show. All the main cast leaving was like The Wayans leaving In Living Color.

She told me on facebook that it wasn't by choice. She said they chose not to offer her a new contract and that in this entertainment business, they don't really tell you why, they just let you go

I kinda agree, even though I was glad to still see Amanda Bynes and Mark Saul, whom I had a serious crush on. The HUGE disappointment came for me was when they completely got rid of the old cast in season 7.
