I just don't understand the rating...

This is one of the funniest stand-up routines of all time.

reply

Yeah the rating should be higher for sure, this stand-up was great

reply

I agree. I was shocked and a little disappointed when I saw the ratings. He was hilarious from beginning till the end!

Peace.

it must be racism! yeah thats it, racism! only white people own computers so not enough black people can vote. ask martin lawrence-he would probably agree.

reply

well, i'm white, and consider this stand-up performance the funniest thing i've ever seen in my life. it's not racism, but rather a different taste in humor. most of my friends (white) don't think this performance is funny because they simply don't like lawrence's humor.

reply

I didn't find it very funny. Maybe I've seen too much modern (standup) comedy, because the jokes seemed cliché to me.

reply

the jokes are unimportant. the humor is in his delivery.

reply

Are you kidding!
The most predictable old flacid crap I have ever seen!

For it's time (1994), this stand-up was revolutionary. Dave Chapelle gets all kinds of positive criticism for his show, which I'm also a HUGE fan of, but seriously, you can't ignore the fact that this Martin stand-up was groundbreaking. In my opinion, without this stand-up, Dave Chappelle doesn't make it to Comedy Central. This is up there with Eddie Murphay, Richard, and damn close to George Carlin. I gave this a 9 stars.
