The film's only real problem...

IT'S TOO FUCKING LONG.

There are several long movies I can watch without so much as fidget in my seat because their stories are genuinely epic and need that length to tell their stories. Once Upon a Time in America, Lord of the Rings, The Godfather (s), Lawrence of Arabia. And I can sit down and binge a good Netflix show even though they're twelve hours (not that they don't have filler issues either). This did not need to be three + hours long.

The last forty minutes was literally nothing but the antagonists hitting hurt than running, than him finding them, than they hit and run again. It grew tedious repeating the same beats. And than there's so many filler footage of a character walking or horse riding into the scene. Cut that out and START THE DAMN SCENE. There is a really kick ass movie in this burried under so much fat.
