Wyatt's Odd Intro to Louisa Earp

Did anyone else notice the weird blocking of the scene when Morgan introduces Wyatt to his beautiful young bride Louisa???

I mean---Why the bizarre close-ups and staring like a lecher? Made it seem like Wyatt and Louisa had this unspoken attraction that would come into play later. Obviously, if you know the story, nothing of the sort happens.

Sooo---Why did the director make such an odd choice? None of the other Earp wives got the same introduction treatment that Lou got.

I watched this movie again recently and noticed that scene for the very same reason. Wondered for a minute if I had missed something happening between them the first time I saw it.

Maybe they had other scenes that didn't make the final cut. Otherwise, it's total wtf? moment.

That's the only thing I can think too. Deleted scenes. But still. Knowing what I know about the actual history---doesn't make much sense.

What a bunch of DOLTS. He was just admiring how beautiful of a piece of tail his younger brother was able to pull in. He was impressed, nothing more and nothing less.

Maybe it hurt him that his brother found true love, while he hadn't at that point in his life.
