Is it a joke?

Look at the keywords. Nudity, nudity, nudity! Child nudity! And the movie is just a normal movie about children, with only a few second of that bath! Is IMDB a website guide for molesters or something?

It would appear so. If you click on 'child nudity' you get a list of 260 films with that keyword (Wrony is No. 71) which makes life a lot easier for those inclined to look for such stuff.

The vast majority of these films are European or eastern block, which suggests these areas have a much different 'take' on this subject. I must admit I'd rather the bath scene wasn't there, or was shot more discretely, but that is only because of current hysteria on the subject of child exploitation.

Can't help noticing though that the prices for used copies of this film are surprisingly high - could it be on some web pedophile 'must have' list? I certainly hope not. It's a terrific atmospheric film, brilliant acting by the two children.

Not sure what that means.

I am sure about this one, though: you're mental.

Yes, this nudity-alert problem is a bit confusing. Is this repeated warning in fact an information for people who will watch it only for such a reason and need a guiding hand to collect similar movies, or is it an information for moral crusaders to demand cutting, butchering or complete banning of a movie because of such a horrifying material like two kids in a bath (that by all means never happen in real life)? I don't know which possibility is more frightening for our civilization, for the legacy that we leave to our children (clothed or naked).

However, there are similar warnings on some other movies that don't deserve (at least in my mind) to be classified as morally dubious, wrong, corrupting, as those alerts try to imply, or even scream.

Some five years ago several people (including me) found even more ridiculous key-words for Ronja rövardotter. You can still see the discussion on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088015/board/nest/85110877?p=1
The result was great, IMDb admins deleted all of these nudity-related key-words and they haven't returned ever since. In fact, I wouldn't mind one or even two notes (e.g. skinny-dipping that we really see in the movie and it has some meaning and importance, and is shot in beautiful photography as the whole movie is) but the list before the big cleaning was completely ridiculous.
