Great game
I know people aren't into Wing Commander anymore but they should.This game just kicked ass.

With that said; this game did kick ass! Man, when this came out I couldn't get enough of it. I had it on the playstation, and I tried to tape all of the movie scenes one time lol. But yeah, play-wise it was good, but the storyline and the characters are what set it apart from any other game I've ever played. I don't think I've ever been so pissed off at a character before after Hobbs betrayed you and killed the girl that was suspicious of him. Then I went after him and kicked his fury ass...which ended up getting another wing man killed. Man this game was just too cool. Spaceship games/fighter pilot games aren't as fun because I just don't care too much of the story or the wingman. I never played a flight game where I actually WANTED to protect my wingman (usually i expected them to protect me) lol.

I have WC III and IV on my PS2 (PS1 Games)
shareI had played WC 1&2 for years before getting WC3 and I don't think playability is as good as with first two (except on Excalibur). Also the plot isn't quite as witty as in best parts (IMHO top being the Special Operations 1 mission disk of WC2) and acting is now and then pretty bad (Hamill, Rhys-Davies, Allen, all of Kilrathi).
All that said, WC3 is still among my top 20, if not top 10, all time games (and I've played a lot...)
If I remember correctly, I've now played WC3 through once on every difficulty.
And to balance the lesser actors, Malcolm McDowell is awesome as in all his roles.
