Meg Ryan should have been nominated for an Oscar for this film. She was exellent in it. Meg Ryan is one of those actress's whose work is constantly overlooked. Her portrayel of a alchoholic was more believable than any other I can think of in film history!
shareI'm glad to find this thread here because I couldn't agree more that Meg Ryan should have received an Oscar nomination for this film. I just saw this film for the first time recently and I think this is the best performance Meg Ryan has ever given...vivid and real and completely riveting. Meg Ryan has never created such a three-dimensional character before or since. An amazing performance that should have at least earned her a nomination.
