Dad and daughter fight at the park

It's always bothered me how, right before he moves to Denver, the dad tells the daughter, "I'm sorry we had that fight at the park the other day." They fought at the park at least six months before that. They fought while the mom was in rehab. A couple of months after she gets out, he starts going to meetings. And right before this scene, he says he's been going to meetings for four months. "The other day," my Aunt Fanny.

I'm chiming in a couple months later, but you are right. This has always bothered me too. The other day? What a joke. I would think the writers/producer wouldn't take us for such idiots.

Honestly, I think he was referring to a fight he had with her mom at the park. It obviously was a deleted scene or something.

That bothers me too. It's small but it's an obvious goof. Obvious goofs in movies bug me. I picture the writer or editor saying 'Oh well, no big deal. No one will notice' and I say 'I wasn't born yesterday! Don't insult my intelligence!'
