I love movies about the South

They have a flair to them you just can't find anywhere else. Good messages, just stories about the simplest things in life.

Some examples? I love the mood of this film, so I would love to check out other films with the same feel.

I'm from all the way down south in Australia, and I've never even been to the states, but having watches so many movies set in the south. I feel like I can feel the heat, and almost taste and smell the air. I grew up watching The Client, The War, Fried Green Tomatoes, Forrest Gump, Heat of the Night. I feel like I've been there.

I've always wanted to road trip across America, visiting all of the movie locations. Like the house from ET, and the tree from The War. I know it sounds crazy but movies are a big part of my life, I watch them, I live them, and I make them for a living.

Good list bono, I would also add Steel Magnolias, My Dog Skip, The Notebook, Urban Cowboy (if that counts)
