How did it end?
Could someone please tell me what happened to Kotov? I missed seeing the end of this film and its been bugging me for ages. Many thanks
shareWhere did you leave off? I'm assuming you know Mitya arranged to have a car come for him, taking him to Moscow to be charged with espionage. That was about it, they took him away and a written epilogue on screen told us he was executed and then "posthumously rehabilitated" (forgiven) in 1956. His wife and daughter were also taken into custody but not executed. A sequel is in the works, tentative release date 2007.
shareI hadn't heard of sequel, I'm fascinated. My favorite character is, of course, dead, so I can't think it would be much good, but I'd definitely give it a chance.
shareWell, you might be surprised... but "unpredictable twists" is the name of the game when it comes to movies. Yours and mine favorite characters are in it... just HOW were they resurrected, might be a different question. Watch the sequels... you shall enjoy it.
