Autumn Sonata

Autumn Sonata, in my opinion, is one of the most powerful movies ever made. It is one of my favourite films too. And I'm too scared to watch Unishe April as I am afraid I will be comparing the two and may end up disliking this one.

I have already been burnt by Drishti, which was a badly directed remake of Scenes From a Marriage by Bergman again.

Is Unishe April worth a try?

I think its definitely worth looking at 19 April objectively.

Its a great film. My first Rituporno Ghosh movie, and boy was I blown away.

The entire movie shows the duration of 1 day... Pretty intense all the way and captures subtleties well. The characterisations are spot on. All the actors give great performances.

I think you are in for a treat.
