nubile filmstyle for nubile Kate

such unkind words from the other reviewers belie a certain testiness.

Whereas, I love the movie's dilatory pacing, its wonderful avoidance of formulaic mystery pacing, the amused disdain for pushing audience buttons to induce those dependable edge of the same old seat experiencs. Those are given by editing and quick cuts and truncated scenes & building the same old tensions. That old school perfection, delightfully missing here, is classic to be sure, not to be dismissed forever, Yet, it is all so patently manipulative and actually made almost totally boring by its universal use by all Hitchcock Juniors.
I loved Kate as a highly skilled, educated young woman and not a vampire warrior or some such action adventure mind rot.
Although I like all that the other reviewers disliked, there is one thing I do find unforgiveableL given the fine 7/8's of a enjpoyably anti-establishment film either acidentally or intentionally constructed, the mystery plot's ending is not even close to the spirit of the rest of the piece, nor does itresemble in the least what the character[s] would do, givin wwhat the films content had made them. But, UNCOVERED resembles the prostrating, apologetic film maker bowing deeply to the ordinary & always expected, and certified code ending of the mystery. I do not refer to the epilogue scenes.
I can not here include a spoiler, nor disclose my far more suitable ending concept.

Dude, you are WAY too full of yourself. Did you type this with one hand, while watching yourself in a mirror at the same time?

Yeah, instead of writing stupid critiques on IMDB with a dictionary by your side, go take some grammar lessons.

If I may cut through the *beep* what the poster is saying is that what made this movie enjoyable was its 'Indie" feel rather than the formulaic crap pumped out by the big studios. OK. I have no idea if this film was made by a big studio or an independent outfit. It certainly looks like a film made on a budget, which is not a criticism at all. I think this style lends itself to the topic. I found the film quite enjoyable in spite of its faults but then Kate Beckinsale is always watchable even in a *beep* movie like Van Helsing.
