i like stunts where people don't actually get hurt

this film obviously has some .... issues with the difference between reality and fiction.

the house fight in particular about 1:05-1:10. there are numerous shots of guys falling through roofs with little or no padding to break the fall.

i can't help but compare this to other kung fu films which can portray someone flying through the air, and landing hard on the ground, in two separate shots, instead of actually having someone fly through the air and land hard on the ground, undoubtedly getting some horrible bruises in the process if not broken bones.

the one that really got me, is one guy in the house .... he is balancing himself on a wood beam across the room, about 10 feet in the air at least. he comes at chan. chan hits him with a bamboo pole, the stunt man first falls on the beam, on his chest/chin, then falls off the beam to the floor below, where there is clearly no mat and no airbag.

at that point.. i did not feel enjoyment watching the film anymore. i just felt like i was watching people getting broken.
