I Thought Zamachowski who Played Karol was excellent!

It is so refreshing to see a main actor who is not a "hottie" like they have to be in Hollywood! The small nuances on his face told so much!

I love this guy! I think he's a hottie. I now have thing for short Polish men (preferably not impotent).

The cast was full of great actors, and many of them were Kieslowski's contemporaries from the best, prestigious film and drama schools in Poland. My favorite was Janusz Gajos who played Mikolaj. He was also in The Decalogue and I thought his performance was amazing. I wasn't surprised that Karol's lead actor pulled it off; I mean, the foundation of these actors' training was so good and profound.

Zbigniew Zamachowski gave one of the best performances of 1994; I don't think he ever got the credit he deserved for his exceptional work as Karol. Without a convincing central character, White wouldn't have succeeded. But thanks to Zamachowski, the film worked brilliantly.

Zamochowski was also terrific in Decalogue; he's one of the great talents of international cinema.

That was a truly remarkable performance. He played the tragicomic aspects of the Karol character wonderfully, I was really taken aback at how great he is in this film.

Indeed a great performance! Blanc was a comedy but oh, god, you don't see many performances like that in a comedy anymore...
