Jamie Luner in TRYST

Jamie Luner, currently acting on the daytime soap opera series, "All My Children", makes an appearance in TRYST as a supporting actress, Mindy, girlfriend to one of the main characters, George/Todd.

Jamie was of course, 15 years younger in this 1994 suspense action thriller, but her looks have held up very well over time. In Tryst, she's pretty, with girl-next-door attractiveness that's all. She does a few good sex scenes and her nice figure looks even better.

Some other imdb poster made a comment on the ridiculous rape scene Mindy underwent with the sleazy, psycho motel manager who's been secretly taking photos of her through a hidden motel wall peephole. I have to agree that the rape scene was the cheesiest, most fake-looking rape scene I've ever scene. I bet both actors had a difficult time not laughing during the filming. The guy goes through the motions of unzipping his jeans fly but you don't see it. He gets on top of Mindy, full clothed, his jeans still on, then humps Mindy for about 5 seconds, that's right, 5 seconds, before climaxing. I've never heard of a guy being able to come that fast. Also, he doesn't take Mindy's panties off. Mindy should have been laughing at him. I do give the director credit for keeping the brutality to a minimum. Mindy slaps the sleazo motel manager twice and he threatens to punch her but doesn't. If you closely watch the rape scene again, you'll be puzzled at how poorly acted it is and how contrived the motions are. It would seem odd to see Mindy yelling and all afraid, slapping the guy but not making all that hard an effort to resist him. And her attacker doesn't seem to be putting all that much ferocity and energy into raping her. It's like these two actors said to each other beforehand, well, we gotta do a rape scene let's just get it over with quick. It looks like they didn't rehearse the scene beforehand. It comes out looking hokey.
