The funniest movie not listed as a comedy on IMDB.

I just watched this movie for the first time the other day, can't believe I didn't see it sooner! I was expecting a serious action flick, but it turned out to be hilarious from start to finish and funnier than the vast majority of movies listed as actual comedies. No idea how it isn't under the comedy category!

Also, this movie has aged incredibly well. It must have been incredibly well done for the time. I realize 1994 isn't exactly ancient, but so many movies from that era are now laughably bad. This isn't one of them.

1994 was actually a pretty good year for movies, if I do say so myself. I wasn't born until '95 myself, but there were plenty of '94 classics.
True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, Speed, Leon: The Professional, Lion King, The Mask, and The Crow are just a few examples.

I agree, it's better than most comedies and even action/comedies that come out these days.

@ultimatenexus Don't forget the Gumpmeister!

1994 and IMO 1999 were stellar years.

I've learned to expect nothing less from James Cameron. He's done several different kinds of movies, and does them all so well. This movie was the most seemless and perfect blend of action and comedy I've ever seen. When it wants to be a comedy, it's a GREAT comedy. When it wants to be an action flick, it's a GREAT action flick. On top of that, it moves so seemlessly and effortlessly between the two, that the viewer never need question what the film is trying to achieve throughout.

Just....Plain.....FUN!!! All I have to say about True Lies. A great way to spend a couple of hours. A really entertaining action comedy that never really tries to be anything more. The creators achieved in every way they tried to achieve, and I could not be happier with the end result.

PS - Bill Paxton's most perfect performance of his varied and colorful career. Tom Arnold too. Both hilarious.

This movie was just so well done. It is 21 years old now and is still a lot of fun to watch.
