Arnold's stunt double in the beginning

I was watching this earlier for the first time in years (possibly the first time in HD, too) and I thought it was hysterical how often they showed the face of Arnold's stunt double during the beginning scene of him escaping through the snowy woods. There were sequences where the camera was focused on the front of the stunt double as he came toward the screen and you could see clear as day how it was definitely not Arnold. Was this ever mentioned in a commentary track as to why they didn't try to obscure the stunt double's face? Arnold was pretty much the most recognizable action star in the world at the time, so it seems weird how Cameron was perfectly fine with exposing the stunt double a half dozen or so times during that sequence.

Rewatching this for the first time in years and I thought the same thing. It's blatantly obvious it's not Arnold in multiple shots.

Yep!

Yea that's the issue with BluRay and 4K, you can see the stunt doubles very clearly. I saw Face/Off on blu ray and damn u can see their faces clear as day~

With the advent of such technology, it might be possible to take any stunt double's face... off... and replace it with Nic Cage's.

Saw this recently for the first time in years and was astounded how many near close ups there was of the stunt double, once you notice him that's all that dominates your view point in every action scene.
From sliding down the snow hill to riding on the horse, did Arnold do anything i this film that required any action?
They should of used the stunt double for the Tango dance scenes as Arnold moved like an Austrian Oak tree!

Ha. Ha. Yes.
Like who was the editor for this movie.
At least blurr the face.
