Rate the three films

How do you like the three films in this trilogy?
I like them like this:

1)Red
2)White
3)Blue

reply

my favorite one is Red for sure,
but i can not dicecide Blue or White is better!

reply

First comes 'Red' closely followed by 'Blue'. I wasn't that intrigued by 'White' however.

reply

Red - **** - easily one of the best films I've ever seen.
Blue - **** - easily one of the best of the year.
White - *** 1/2 still great though!

3. White

The agony of foreknowledge combined with the impotence to do anything about it

reply

Yeah, I watched all three yesterday. I thought Blue was ok, it just seemed like he was trying to distance Julie from the audience. It was a great idea, but it kind of stopped me from actually feeling anything for the movie.

Red >> Blue >> White

At first, I liked "Blue" most, but now I'd say "Red" is best. To me, "Red" is visually stunning, very open to interpretation and somehow full of magic. It's certainly one of the best films I have ever seen.

reply

It seems to offer a little more hope than the others. Just my opinion.

I am tempted to put red at the end, i just didnt like it as much, sorry, Blue made me cry, the score to that movie was SO FREAKIN' GOOD! It made me feel so...liquidy inside(I dont think that liquidy is a word but im sure you get what i mean) and i loved the growing of her characters throughout the film.

reply

Red and Blue were easily the best, they were both the most compelling. White was easily the worst, it was good but compared to the others it was very boring and I know it was intended as a dark comedy but i just did not find it very funny. It was well acted though especially the lead actors performance, which was excellent.

reply

Red 10/10
Blue 9/10
White 8/10

All wonderful, it seems a pity to have to rank them, and they work best if watched together.

Blue was a great introduction to a brilliant trilogy. Red wrapped it up nice, but the imapct wasn't quite there. All three were beautiful and probably should be rated as one.

On mondays I tend to rate them Blue, White, Red.
By the time it's wednesday I'm in a bit more of a comical mood, and go for White, Red, Blue.
By the weekend I'm normally at Red, Blue, White.

Impossible to decide.

The real problem is deciding who I'm the most in love with: Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy or Irene Jacob... or Kieslowski himself.

so many people seemed to love red... i didn't. too explicative. so yes, my favourite is

white

then

blue is a ver good film and juliette binoche a terrific actress

red is really not so good (i feel).

if you've loved red, watch la double vie de veronique. it's far more intriguing and irene jacob is stunning (i'm not saying she can act!). it's a beautiful film.

Red.

It's hard to rate, but I loved White in many ways hence it goes to the top, followed by Blue for its melancholy and Red is superb too, but the coincidences just made me think about the other two movies.

reply

Red and Blue are both brilliant and haunting in their own ways.

White is distinctly average and looks as if it was made by a different director.

1. Red (masterpiece)
2. Blue (very good)
3. White (good)
