Okay, all beautiful symbolism, intense philosophy and enthralling cinematography aside, let us, for a moment, focus on the muses that each carry a film in the trilogy.
Indubitably done before, but, who do you find most attractive/prettiest?
Irène Jacob (Rouge), Juliette Binoche (Bleu) or Julie Delpy (Blanc)?
Personally, I find it very hard to decide between Jacob and Delpy. :3
I don't think it's fair to compare these actresses on these terms - this isn't a beauty pageant. There will be many different answers and hence a such a question will be futile in search of a "technical, objective" answer.
Each actress embodies her own brand of particular beauty - Binoche has the angst-ridden, rebellious, unapproachable sexiness. Delpy has the face of an angel which is deceptive and hides her inner turbulent self. Jacobs is full of light, purity, warmth that inspire good will and hope in others. Appreciating each actress as she is or represents is the best way to honor these three very unique and talented artists.
In all fairness, this IS a beauty pageant.
The question is "Who's the prettiest?" which is surely the definition of a beauty pageant.
So feel free to eulogise about your feelings on the soul behind the face, but that's just obfuscating. Justify which actress is the most talented, believable, and insightful if you will. But grow a pair and answer the question at hand. (Of course it's subjective, there is no right answer, blah blah... it's also very male and probably demeaning to women (but let's not kid ourselves the girls do it too).)
So for me: a) Julie, 2) Juliette, and iii) Iréne.
(They are, of course, all gorgeous, but I'm just playing by the beauty pageant rules.)
Personally, I'd have to say Irène Jacob.
shareBeauty is on the eye of the beholder. For me Julie Delpy is the "prettiest" while Juliette Binoche seems is the most interesting and mature out of the three. BUT Irène Jacob has the whole package: Gorgeous body, pretty face, intelligent, sweet and cheerful.
Julie Delpy is the most se*y one.
