No one has seen this movie...!

I remember I used to watch this movie all the time with my sister when I was younger. It's one of those random movies that like NO ONE has seen haha I remember it clearly though. People are right - it's hard to find all the movies you used to watch now that it's switching from video's to DVD's. I remember video's in a huge kids section in a store that closed down that I haven't seen in years. Kinda sad really..

I know that's so funny that no one knows what movie your talking about when you talk about "Trading Mom". My sister and I used to watch it all the time. I think it even used to come on Disney? Anyways it is a really good movie that I haven't seen in awhile but need to. Does anyone know if it's available on DVD anywhere?

reply

God, That's so how I've felt the past couple of days when trying to figure out what it was called. I've been wanting to watch it again but couldn't remember its name.

None of my friends had seen it, the only person that remembered it at all was my mom who watched it with me as a kid.

Yahoo Answers pointed me here though so at least a couple of people remember it! :)

whenever i want to watch movies from my childhood i go to amazon and buy them because sometimes people have the movie that maybe they got from the video store when VHS tapes were phased out and now they are selling it...I did it with 2 different early 80's christmas movies that I thought I would never see again.

reply

I've seen this movie dozens and dozens of times. It never got old. I wish they'd release it on DVD.

Just like you ank I spent so long trying to figure this out, and yahoo answers guided me. But I asked about it a couple of months ago on yahoo answers and no one told me what it was :(. Luckily I thought of better keywords, where as before I was asking if anyone knew about the movie where kids got to choose their parentS (not parent) and forgot about the magical coins. It sucks NO ONE remembers this movie and I thought I was going crazy and just imagined it! I would love to see it again..

You know how long I spent searching for this movie?! All I could remember was kids with tokens buying moms, and everyone thought I was crazy. I used to watch this movie all the time back when Disney had movies acually worth watching

SAME HERE. I just remembered a gypsy gardener, a little girl, a magic token, and something about a mom disappearing. :P

reply

Wow, me too. I remembered something about a mall that had moms, and some kids that wanted to 'trade' their mom. Trading Mom. It all makes sense *now*. But I couldn't remember any of the actors in it (not having seen it since I was 6). Wow, Sissy Spacek is in this? Crazy..

reply

I'm watching it on Netflix whilst eating dinner. It's definitely a kids' movie, but I love how Sissy Spacek looks so DIFFERENT, it's almost impossible to know it's her! :)

i've seen it over a million times and have an almost worn out copy on vhs lol. :D

does this movie mention something about "tokens" cus if it does then its the one i was looking for all this time!! XD

reply

I loved this movie as a kid! I knew the title and details, but never even bothered to ask anyone if they'd ever seen it because I figured no one had haha. Now to go find my TV-to-VHS tape lol.

reply

I haven't seen this movie and i really want to. Only because of Anna Chlumsky. But i can't find this movie on DVD anywhere.

People I know never even heard of this movie before. I remember when it came on the Disney channel one time years ago. There are some familiar faces in the movie. The only thing I don't like about this movie is that Sissy Spacek has to play all three moms but the movie is really good. It was cheesy a couple of times first time I watched it but now I really enjoy it. It actually gives you a message near the end of the movie. I would feel uncomfortable watching this with my mom because it's about kids wanting new moms.

Sorry it's taken a long time to respond, but it's on Hulu. :)

I've seen it a couple of times. My sister and I used to watch it frequently when we were younger. It used to air on a Swedish channel every now and then, so we watched it every time it aired.
I think we even recorded it on video and watched it there a couple of times as well.

But it's been years since I last saw it. The video has gone somewhere, and TV has stopped showing it. I would like to see it again, just to bring back back the good old days:D

I don't know where you can find it, I've looked everywhere.

I thought to myself I would never see the movie again as well because it has been way too long. But Look what I just found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXDRG1bGpYQ&feature=plcp

It is the full movie and I hope you like it. I'm watching it right now. :D

I found it on YouTube.
