OMG. LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS MOVIE!

I just have a fit as a child to make sure I watched this movie every time it was on. Anna Chlumsky was the greatest. It's crazy they don't make movies like this anymore lol.

They really need to put this out on DVD!

I find a fatal flaw in the logic of love. - THE SHINS

It seems the Millenium brought the downfall of all good kids movies. Long live the 90s!!!!!!!!

I too loved this movie so much! Even still me and my mum make references to this movie till this very day! :D

reply

well actually, the 80s had plenty of good kids movies too.
im not sure about the 70s or prior to that cos i was too old, but its not only the 90s when movies were good :P

reply

Hah, I just realized (or remembered. I'm sure I knew at one point) that Anna Chlumsky was in My Girl. I loved those movies. In fact, my future daughter's middle name is going to be Vada.

Anyway, I also loved this movie. It really was a quality film, not like most of Disney's movies now.

I have to say this is the worst movie I have ever seen. I was 10 when I saw it and I did haunt me for the next two weeks. Even my parents say it is one of Sissy Spacek's worst movies. Lets hope people continue making good movies like little miss sunchine, garden state or pulp fiction.

reply

Yeah cuz Little Miss Sunshine, Garden State and Pulp Fiction are great kids movies *rolls eyes*
All I gotta say, is, I loved this movie when I was a little girl! I remember my mom teasing me by saying she'd go to the Mommy Market when I was being bad, lol.

Come see my Christian Bale music videos!!

i loved it too. i vauegly remember it, but after watching the trailer again, it's starting to come back to me. especally the kitchen scene and the hilarious wilderness mom. years ago, i remember this movie being on abc family. it was for "mother's day weekend." they had this, moms on strike and other "mom" related movies.

i was also looking at what movie sissy spaseck was in because i love her in carrie, and when i sw trhis i was like "omg! she was the mom and all the other crazy ones!"

they have to put this on dvd. ican't find the VHS anywhere. if "life with mikey"(which is hilarious also) is on dvd then this, should be too.
