how did tom come up with the correct response to the question about a lady who says her age is 35 minus saturdays and sundays?
the response was that her true age was 49.
can anyone explain to me how he came up with that?

I don't know that he did figure it out. It looks like Viv tells him by silently mouthing the answer when he looks at her.
shareShe does tell him! That is why when the Dr.'s are asking her the questions,it is so heartbreaking. You know she knows the answer, she was supposedly brilliant at figuring out riddles.
shareThose are outrageous questions that a "normal" person wouldn't be able to answer anyway!
shareVery simple, really. If she's 35 except for Saturdays and Sundays, then that would represent 5/7 of her true age -- since there are seven days in a week. 35/5=7, and 7 x 7 = 49. More easily, the fraction 5/7 equals 35/49. vmcarrera
shareSmartypants ... still, thank you.
He's Greek and scarred? That's the worst combination I can think of!
