This or The Pebble and the Penguin?

As of myself when I was young I never really liked Thumbelina but I enjoyed The Pebble and the Penguin much more and I still do. What do all of you think? By the way I liked the songs of The Pebble and the Penguin much better who wouldn't the Now And Forever song?

Oh gosh, I used to love both movies. I think I liked them equally. I've seen Thumbelina recently and I haven't seen The Pebble and the Penguin since I was maybe nine, at the oldest. I'd have to see it again to make my decision.

For me, definately The Pebble and the Penguin. XD I can't get enough of Rocko the Rockhopper Penguin. ^^
I love Jacquimo in Thumbelina though, he's rather sweet and adorable too.
Yes, in case it's not obvious, I can't get enough of the bird characters. :D

Well if you have anything good to say for the Pebble and the Penguin go to the message board on the Pebble and the Penguin page. There I've put a lot of stuff no one has answered.

Pebble and the Penguin 100%. Now and Forever is the best song ever as well!

"The Pebble and the Penguin" DEFINATELY wins by a longshot!

I mean, I hate to be rude here, but "Thumbelina" was not that great. It had too many plot-holes, and too many bad songs (with only 2 exceptions). Plus, it ripped off just about every Disney Princess film (as explained, very well, by the Nostalgia Chick). Also, the animals in the film were rather ugly and obnoxious (especially Jacquimoe -_-').

Also, Thumbelina herself was constantly getting on my nerves, instantly giving up without even trying! Speaking of "trying", we are also getting a Follow-Your-Heart message constantly shoved down our throats, by Jacquimoe, and yet the heroine never actually does "follow her heart" until the climax of the movie!!! >_<

At least "Pebble and the Penguin" TRIED to take it's own message seriously! I also found the romance in it to be more sweet, touching, and interesting. Plus, it didn't try to rip off Disney the way "Thumbelina" did (you can just excuse the "wish upon a star" scene in PATP, I've seen many other films do that thing alot).

I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to agree with all of the others who voted for Pebble and the Penguin. Not that I have anything against Thumbelina, it's cute, but I vote for the other one cause I was more familiar with the storyline, the music and the lesson that it taught. While Thumbelina was a fine movie, I guess just some parts with the little critters in the outside world were a bit too much and weird for my taste.

Tough question...those are two beloved childhood classics with MANY things going for both...I honestly think they're about equal in my eyes. :3

I like you, Um. I like largeness...

Pebble by fifteen Longshots and a Hookshot! Split between that and Anastasia for best 90s Bluth film (none of which are in the top five Bluth films, tellingly).

That's a tough call. I'm not a huge fan of either, preferring An American Tail, All Dogs Go To Heaven,
Land Before Time, and especially Secret Of NIMH. I enjoy Let Me Be Your Wings, it's so sweet, but the other
songs aren't as good. Jaquimo is annoying, the script is a bit wobbly at times, and some of the animation looks a bit dry. As for Pebble And The Penguin, most of the songs aren't that great either (although Now And Forever and Sometimes I Wonder are sweet), Hubie is also kind of annoying, I'm not keen on the animation on Drake, and Hubie constantly losing the pebble got tedious. I mean, Mrs Brisby had her amulet, Charlie had his watch, Feivel had his hat, and Littlefoot had his leaf and they never let those things leave their sides, or I guess I should say their heads in Feivel and Littlefoot's cases and their necks in Charlie and Mrs Brisby's cases, but Hubie needs to keep a closer watch on his pebble. Still, there's some nice background animation, Rocko's funny, and Marina's sweet and pretty.
