I have always loved this movie & The Little Mermaid
and it was only just now that I found out Jodi.. the voice of Ariel also did he voice for Thumbelina!!!!
It's been a while since I've seen either of the films & I'm just wondering.. does her voice sound exactly the same in both films?
Yes, to me anyway. When I first saw it many years ago, I was thinking to myself, "Is that Ariel?" but at the time, I couldn't prove it.

I think she's tried to make her voice sound younger for Thumbelina, possibly just because she's meant to be so tiny, and a tinier body usually means a higher, younger sounding voice. But I could tell it was her.

shareYup, that'd be Jodi. =) She pitched her voice higher for Thumbelina. But at some parts she definitely sounds like Ariel. I think it's cute that they're both Hans Christian Andersen characters that she voiced. ^-^
