The song "i'll take you there" plays when they are taking the little car trip. I know the original is sung by the staple sisters, but who sings this one? please help :)

General Public is an awesome alternative/new wave group from Great Britain, who had a number of hits in the early- and mid-80's. Their lead singer Dave Wakeling was also a member of the Jam, and other members of the group were in other well-known British new wave bands in the early 80's.

shareActually, Dave Wakeling was a member of the English Beat, not The Jam. The other singer in General Public, Ranking Roger, was also a member of the English Beat. Two other members of the Beat went on to form Fine Young Cannibals. And thus concludes our music history lesson for today.
