it's from a pre-code comedy called 'meet the baron' released in 1933. right after the sequence, the three stooges come barraging in as plumbers at the call of matron edna may oliver but are forced to wear blindfolds by dull straightman ted healy (his career didn't last long, after the stooges moved to columbia, he drank himself to death). curly then goes chasing after the girls (who are wearing towels), moe and larry try to fix the pipes (which never happens), and the place floods.
shareI think you're being kinda hard on Ted Healy. He's entertaining in the solo stuff I've seen of him. It's too bad he died so young. I admit that The Stooges were probably better off without him. When Healy left the act, Moe Howard took over the lead role.
I've never seen "Meet the Baron". It sounds like the inspiration for my favorite Stooge short, "A Plumbing We Will Go".
