shareTHAT'S ENTERTAINMENT III was a vast improvement over II, but I can't really say that it was better than the first one. I loved the peeks backstage and behind the scenes provided in the third installment that weren't provided in the first two.

I loved the outtakes and side-by-side comparisons, esp. the Joan Crawford in virtual blackface vs. Cyd Charisse both dubbed by the same ghost voice! And as mentioned in amother thread, the amazing Fred Astaire repeating moves almost impeccably in two very different stagings. Lena Horne's candor at her frustration with the blatant racism is quite moving. It's my favorite of the three not only for these elements, but the narration by the stars was so much more hearfelt and much less sappy than the predecessors. shareI haven't see Part Two of this series yet. But I can't imagine any other movie being choc-a-bloc with so much talent and general entertainment. This was wonderful stuff. As I watched, I kept wondering to myself "where has all this kind of magic gone?"
