I just bought the DVd set and its alright but I am just starting eps 5 and have 50 more odd to go

I've seen all the season 1 episodes and the specials. Some episodes have a more serious emphasis, but I'd say yes, overall the series is pretty funny. I forget the name of the process, but the animators make good use of the process by which they change the characters' faces to express consternation or fear, by taking away detail or making the faces appear more child-like. They use the same method in Teen Titans.

The episodes that feature Strikeman are my favorites in the humor area.
