Other great WALKING SCENES ?!?

Hi all

Tarr is famous (well relatively) for his walking shots followed by stedi-cam style cameras behind the actors as we follow them between locations.

I just wondered if apart from his hypnotic shots in this film and his others (im thinking of Werckmeister Harmonies") does anyone know of any other films with good "walking scenes" ?

I can think of Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" and also some more recent Gus Van Sant films (who I know was influenced by Tarr). But any others ?

Thanks for any inspiration!

The candle scene in Tarkovskys Nostalghia comes to mind.
It's not a walking scene shot from behind, this is shot from the side, following the antagonist during his arduous walk through water trying to keep the candle lit... haven't seen it for thirty years, but the memory lingers on,..

Check out the films from Theodoros Angelopoulos such as The Travelling Players, Alexander the Great, and Ulysses' Gaze etc.

The atmospheric Western 'Meek's Cutoff' also.
