MC Hammer video from movie soundtrack... SO LAME!

We all know how totally lame this movie is, but a lot of people don't know just where the lameness of it ends. It extends to the movie's soundtrack, too! There's a song on the soundtrack called "Straight to My Feet" by MC Hammer and Deion Sanders! That's right, Deion Sanders! The football player/baseball player with the flamboyant personality and massive ego. A somewhat ridiculous character in his own right, did you know there was a point in the mid 1990s when he actually tried being a rapper? And he did a duet with MC Hammer for the Street Fighter soundtrack!

Pretty lame, huh? Well wait, there's more! There's actually a music video for this song! It's got MC Hammer, Deion Sanders, and the Street Fighter actors dressed in their full costumes, dancing in a club together! Here it is, in all its cheezy glory:

You know what the best part of this video is? Jean-Claude Van Damme, dressed in his Guile costume, trying to dance! Check it out at 2:54, 3:08, 3:12, 3:16, 3:28, 3:32, 3:37, and oh, ESPECIALLY at 2:42! This video is LAME to the max!

This video should have been on the newly made version of the DVD for this film. I love this music video in all it's cheesy glory. Van Damme dancing is great. He will forever be guile to me.

Seriously though, there is one cool shot. The quick shot of Vega with his claws out in the middle of the club. Dig that camera angle with his claw looking 3D almost.

Whether ya think it's cheesy or not, it's a dope g-funk party joint. Hammer was coming off the heels of his Funky Headhunter LP. West coast hip hop was creating a ton of buzz at the time, and Hammer was trying to connect with that audience.

And as for as the soundtrack goes, it's far from a kiddie album. 95% of it is a hip hop compilation (with a few cuss words).
