What were you smoking when you decided Resident Evil (2002), let alone the entire film series, wasn't among the fails? How about Mortal Kombat Annihilation?

I saw SMB at a sneak preview screening back in '93. I was too young to really grasp the finer points of film criticism, and I haven't seen it since, but I knew it was bad and only vaguely connected to the game.

I just finished watching Street Fighter on Hulu for the first time in nearly 20 years. At least in the version I just saw, there was no post-credit sequence hinting at a sequel. It's a very horrible movie, one of the few I've given 1 star on IMDB, but there are some interesting choices in it. I won't go as far as to call them good ideas. The arcade's controls are in use, most of the costumes are accurate enough to the games that you can instantly identify characters, and the mass victory pose at the end suggest someone working on this actually played the games and enjoyed them.

For my money, there are only two good video game based movies: Mortal Kombat and Tomb Raider. Aside from those two the rest are variation on awful to travesties.
