Actually, I've been wondering lately: Is this a matter of price if a DVD player is region free? I live in Germany and have a region free player, however it is reaaally old, older than 5 years. Some weeks ago I checked out some players in a big elecronics store and not one of them was region free. My suspicion is that at some point they started to take this really seriously and there are simply no region free players on the regular market anymore, at least here (I may be wrong though). Still you can find instructions on the internet how to modify most of the players and make them region free or change the regions whenever you need it simply by pressing some keys on the remote (it works, we've tried it out with my buddy's player). You can also find instructions on how to modify most DVD drives to make them region free (tried it out as well - works) and it's not even illegal, in case you care. I hope one fine they they're gonna put an end to this ridiculous region sh*t 'cause I feel my freedom to choose strongly limited. I have so many US DVDs which simply aren't available here (like "The Stoned Age") or if they are, they often lack the special features included on foreign editions. I even have Australian Region 4 DVDs...
Anyway, "Guest House Paradiso" is a damn cool flick, make sure you get it.
