So is Picard still in the Nexus?

Has it ever been explained how Picard left the Nexus? He and Kirk are still in there til this day, right?

reply

they left the Nexus to stop Soran....or did they?

wait... Picard is still alive and not a robot? don't give me hope!

As they said in the movie, all you had to do was want to leave and you could anytime you wanted. The trouble was that most don't want to.

So far as I understand it, a copy of you is in the Nexus forever. It wasn't clearly stated whether or not you could leave the Nexus over and over again if you wanted to. It's possible that Kirk and Picard are now immortal heroes who can always step back into the universe to save the day when needed. At the cost of the messenger also being trapped within the Nexus.

That's the way it seems to me. Guinan was in the Nexus when Picard arrived even though she was on the Enterprise D that crashed.

As far as time, Picard went to the point where Kirk had just arrived in the Nexus, so by taking him out of the Nexus to stop Sorin, he porked Kirk out of 75 years of peaceful existence in the Nexus.

Unless there's still a copy of him there...

That would be quite the twist eh? Fortunately we find out in DS9 and VOY that the events occuring in the movies Generations, First Contact and Insurrection did happen, so obviously Picard was taken out of the Nexus. What remains in the Nexus is likely a piece (a copy if you will) of pre-First Contact Picard and that would be interesting to explore in a future Picard season.

reply

No, he is not still in the Nexus. Do you honestly believe they made 3 more movies and now a Picard show that are all supposed to be in his head?
