Never used to bother me…

Just HOW unrealistic the bus jump was. It would have immediately been on a downward trajectory. So having it jump 60 feet on an EVEN track, with zero incline…is just too much disbelief to suspend. Beyond ridiculous. All they needed to do was have the ramp they land on be at a slightly lower level.

Instead, we see a 2 ton bus jump from zero incline…and ascend UPWARD! Haaaaa!

Isn't it also turning as it jumps?

Absolutely right

It has always bothered me (or 'amused me', rather), but it's one of those things that make the movie iconic. I also think adding a ramp would've at least made it a but more believable.

You can actually notice the bus going downward immediately after the jump, but then the scene changes to the bus going up. You gotta love that terrible editing!

Yeah this is the one thing that crosses that line that takes me out of it. You can explain away a lot of stuff for the sake of coolness, but this one doesn't work.

Have you ever seen movie reactors on social media cover this one? They almost always just start cracking up at this part. 🤣

Jumping jumping....haha

Legend has it that there was a shark underneath the interchange....

Obviously, the producers of the EXECRABLE Speed 2: "Cruise Control" found this bus jump to be their most favourite part of this movie!
