I don't have the patience to go through all the old posts, but was wondering how exactly Paine knew that he had been duped with the film footage? Did he notice a glitch in it with that black spot it showed at the last second? Or was it that he could tell it was a looped film?
shareThe Asian lady sitting right behind Jack and Annie had her black purse on her lap at the start of the looped video. Toward the end of the tape, she slides it off of her and on to the empty seat next to her. Payne first became suspicious when he saw her move her purse because he probably realized that he had already seen her do that. Then he kept watching and saw where the tape looped and the purse magically reappeared on her lap.

I would have guessed the big fiery explosion immediately invalidated the loop and there would be no need for him to notice it via the glitch. He was watching the TV, even if helicopters were not allowed in the airspace, I find it weird that the TV would not mention a giant fireball, hinting that the bus was done... :D
sharePaine was no longer receiving the feed from the bus camera, but the transmission from the recorded loop. And the helicopters would've been too far away from the explosion, that's the purpose of Jack directing Annie into restricted airspace.
