Yes, I like it, but I definitely have difficulty buying the incest, probably because it's so outrageously sick. Looking at it like an absurdist comedy, it's easier to take in, but I don't think that that's how it was intended. I just can't comprehend how the character was able to get to that point where he does his mom.

IMO it's even more sick looking at it from her POV. I mean a young kid who's hormones are so out of control he nearly forceably has sex with the other girl? He's immature and completely in the dark about what relationships entail, especially sexual ones.

His mother, on the other hand, knows full well what they're about. I think she was messed up on pills plus drinking vodka and tonic that night, but I can honestly say that no matter how messed up I was I just couldn't do that. Before that happened, he seemed to be a typical average hormonally-driven teen boy wanting everything right then and having his whole life ahead of him. What happened between he and his mother destroyed him. Turned him suicidal and nearly homicidal in a matter of 24 hours, because he couldn't cope with the fact that not only had he slept with his own mother, he wanted to do it again. I can't even imagine what that would be like, nor would I want to.

Point is if she wanted to stick it to her husband, she could have gone out and had an affair. I won't believe she actually had feelings like that for her own son, but I will say that in order for her to have let that happen, she had to have been more messed up before that happened than he was after that.

I put 90% of the blame on her.
