Murmur of the Heart. 1971

...just saw the Netflix version [may have been edited] and was very disappointed. La Luna was more believable and well acted. Y Tu Mama Tambien was much warmer, delightful, engrossing, and also better acted (with beautiful scenery.). I found Murmur disappointing...the main actor appears mechanical, has a poker face through much of the film, and some of the situations are difficult to accept. Spanking had creepily dysfunctional people, but it was engrossing. And Davies was great, as was the mother.
