What about thoughtless violence, war, rape, driving under the influence, and the sexual objectification of women? All these are equally disturbing, and yet are accepted in the mainstream movies.

It was interesting when you said that it was a fantasy for the director, which I do not believe is the case. When listening to the commentary, he said that this film was based on "a certain (clears throat) summer and certain... memories." He almost made it sound like it really happened.

I had held out hope that maybe i missed something and the guy was adopted, but I guess not. it's a very uncomfortable subject - squirm-worthy. This movie brings MILF to a whole new level.

But, I must admit, some of the best books/movies deal with incest and other taboo subjects - Bastard Out of Carolina, Hard Candy, The Accused, etc.
