Yes, they are alive. They had a second child together, a girl born in 1995. But they ended up getting divorced about 9 years ago. Jennifer remarried.
So much for the "marital bond" of this experience keeping them together.

They are alive and I believe they live in Oak Creek, WI. They live right across the street from each other because of custody rights. Their divorce was a friendly one. And Jennifer has a boyfriend (or maybe he is her husband now, I'm not sure).

Seemed amiable together on TV.
Larry asked him how far he walked, he said 50 miles... She spoke up and said she felt it was more than 50 miles with a touch of awe in her voice.
So, seems like even tho they are divorced, they aren't in a war of the roses situation.
Interesting to hear they live across the street from each other tho.

Discovery Channel was showing a repeat of the "I Shouldn't Be Alive" show about their story today (12/12/09). It was filmed in 2005 and they were alive at that time because there were interview/narration clips from Jim and Jennifer. Don't know about what has happened to them since then.
