Does anyone know if there is more information regarding the "Top Gun" theory Tarantino's character discusses in this film? Is Tarantino himself credited with this theory or the writer of this film's particular segment? If, in fact, it is Tarantino's theory - has there been anything written about it?

Check out Mark Simpson's book MALE IMPERSONATORS, which has a chapter about TOP GUN. The book was published in 1994, the same year SLEEP WITH ME came out - so your guess as to whether one fed off the other, or whether it's simply a case of happy synchronicity, is as good as mine.
