At one point Stoltz and Sheffer, the two leads, were really pegged to be serious Hollywood up and coming leading men. Instead, both of them disappeared into obscurity.

Fortunately Todd Field went on to a successful career as a director. He was languishing in mediocre films like this. He was really only in two good films: "Ruby In Paradise" and "Walking & Talking."
