how did this end? i have not seen it in years and i really hate it when i forget things please help me.
shareBillie ends up divorcing Jim, and he continues to see his daughter. The movie closes with Billie saying that she's happy that Jim sees their daughter after the divorce, and although she can never forgive Jim for what he did she'll always be grateful to him for saving their daughter, but she wishes he saved himself too.
shareHorrible ending to a horrible movie. I've never seen a more anticlimactic reveal in my young life. The man is a rapist! This revelation had as much impact as if he'd said he'd cheated on his SATs.

What do you mean, "dead"? In the movie, he did NOT die. Now if you know of what actually happened to him in real life, then please share! No one can seem to get any info as to what happened to them after the movie. Anyone? Feel free to give updated info!
